Interpretive Specialist – November 16 & 18, 2026

Times: 9 am - 6:30 pm Mountain Time; 1-hour exam at the end of Day 2

After you register for this course, you will receive an email with the course agenda, the course guide, and the course handbook. If you do not see the email, check your junk folder or email courses@interpretiveguides.org.

Certification and Exam Details: Your Course and Exam will be conducted online, over Zoom. You must have a laptop or desktop and be connected to Wi-Fi to take the exam. You must attend all online classroom hours and score 70% or higher on the exam to become certified as an Interpretive Specialist, and use it toward your Professional Interpreter certification if that is your plan.

IGA Professional Dues: To maintain your certification in good standing, you must pay annual professional dues. Mark one year from your certification date in your calendar as a reminder.

Once you pass the exam and become certified, you will have full access to the guides' and members' sections of the IGA website. This section gives you access to your certifications, receipts, pro-deal information, and a number of other great guide resources.
