I’m a Good Leader, Right?
Do people follow you because of your title or because you’re a good leader? Learn techniques and skills that help you become a leader people truly want to follow.
This session will be a mix of presentation and self-assessment to explore what makes a good leader. We will examine the qualities of leaders in a variety of professions to see why people want to follow them. Participants will find that leadership is not just about getting people to do what they are told, but it’s about building authentic relationships that make people want to help their leader succeed.
During this session, participants will explore the difference between what makes a person a “good leader” versus a leader who gets things done no matter the cost. Participants will develop a list of what makes a good leader and explore how good leadership is strongly based on relationships. The group will also learn techniques for creating authentic relationships with their staff. Finally, participants will take a self-assessment and create a plan for continuing their personal growth as a leader.
• Learn techniques to create meaningful relationships with people you are leading.
• Complete a self-assessment to determine personal emotional intelligence.
• Create a personal plan for growing yourself as a leader.
