Group Management Bridge – Canmore, November 3 & 5, 2026

Times and Locations (Mountain Time):
- Day 1 (Nov 3) - 1:00 - 5:30 pm, in Canmore
- Day 2 (Nov 5) - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (full day hike)
Classroom Location:Canmore, Wolfe Community Meeting Space | 304 Bow Valley Trail.
Hike Location: TBA based on weather and snow conditions, but will be within the Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, and Highway 93 North regions.
Cost: $325 plus GST
Waiver Requirement: All participants must read and agree to the IGA Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement to participate in this course. If the Waiver is not completed, the individual will not be permitted to participate.
- A copy of the Waiver is available for review below. A paper copy of the Waiver will be available for completion prior to participating.
- Each adult must sign their own Waiver.
- If you are booking for others, it is your responsibility to make them aware of this Waiver requirement and provide them a link to the Waiver so they can review it.
- By signing the Waiver, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for negligence, breach of contract, or breach of the Occupier’s Liability Act or claim compensation following an accident. PLEASE READ THE WAIVER CAREFULLY prior to registering and paying for this course!
- If you are not in agreement with having to sign the Waiver as a condition of participating in this IGA Course, do not sign up for the course. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about the Waiver or this waiver requirement.

Course prerequisites:
- IGA 3-Season Group Management certificate
- Valid first aid certificate (minimum 40-hour Wilderness First Aid)
- Hiking resume
- Homework completion
Prerequisite documents must be submitted using the Homework and Document Submission Form prior to the start of the course.

Wilderness First Aid:

You must attend all classroom hours and receive 70% or more on the evaluation to become certified as an Apprentice 4-Season Hiking Guide.
Refund Policy: Refunds will not be issued for any reason (including illness and injury) if cancelling less than 2 weeks prior to the course start date. Full refunds, less an administration and handbook fee, are available if requested 3 weeks (or more) prior to the course start date. For more information, please consult the IGA refund policy.
Make sure you do not register until you know with 100% certainty that you can attend, have good internet access, and have the days off from work.
