Bear & Wildlife Safety Course (Canmore)

What sets this course apart from other bear safety courses – aside from being instructed by industry renown bear biologist Jay Honeyman – is that this course will focus on the guide’s role when dealing with wildlife encounters and you get to practice spraying (inert) bear spray!

This course will teach you about how to identify bear behaviour, prevent encounters, what tools are available, and what to do during an encounter to ensure not only your safety, but that of your guests.

Included in the cost of the course, each participant will have a chance to discharge real (inert!) bear spray.
