January 24&26, 2021 COURSE FULL!! EMAIL TO JOIN OUR WAITING LIST This course is for Interpretive Guides Association certified 3 Season Hiking Guides who would like to add the winter to their certification and become certified as an IGA 4 Season Hiking Guide. Please read and be prepared to adhere to our COVID-19 policy
This course is available to individuals who already have a group management certification in good standing. It will allow you to guide in all 4 seasons.
The course is 1.5 days (1/2 day classroom + 1 day outside)
- January 24: 6:00 - 9:30 pm Classroom. Location: Online via Zoom Meetings. Your wifi connection must be good enough to be able to keep your camera on throughout this portion of the course. Attendance and participation are mandatory so we need to know you are online throughout the session.
- January 26: 8:30 - 5:00 pm Outdoors. Location: TBA - the on-trail day will be decided closer to the course date and will depend on trail conditions, snow depth and weather. Trail location typically in Lake Louise, Lake OHara or 93 North areas.
- Cost: $189 plus GST
Pre-requisites – 40-hour wilderness first aid PLUS: Apprentice hiking guide, professional hiking guide or master hiking guide certification with the IGA.
