Join Jacquie and Adele from Parks Canada to discuss this latest trend in interpretation. They will cover what Dialogic Interpretation is, the benefits of using it, examples of its use across North America and locally, the Arc of Dialogue, asking good questions and how you could use Dialogic Interpretation in both short interactions, as well as in longer programs. Your Presenter: Jacquie Gilson and Adele Laramee. Jacquie has been involved in the theory and practice of interpretation for over 35 years. She achieved her doctorate degree in 2015 after studying the concept of inspiration in heritage interpretation. Jacquie is currently an Interpretation Coordinator with Parks Canada and runs her own consulting company, InterpActive Planning and Training. Adele has been an interpretation coordinator for Parks Canada for over 20 years, working as an inerpretive naturalist and training up and coming interpretive guides. She is a member of the IGA board of directors and a professional interpreter with the association as well.
